Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Nutrio's website, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What Nutrio does
Nutrio provides:
- Free meal, water, and macro tracking.
- AI-assisted photo meal analysis that estimates calories and macronutrients from a photo you provide.
- AI-generated meal plans built around a goal, calorie target, and plan length.
- A Client Hub for dietitians, coaches, and enterprise teams to manage a client roster, assign targets, and react to client activity.
- Optional links to third-party grocery services (such as Instacart and Amazon Grocery) to turn a meal plan into a shopping list.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity that happens under it. You must be at least 16 years old to use Nutrio. If you're using Nutrio on behalf of a company or organization (for example, as a coach or enterprise admin), you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. Subscriptions, credits, and billing
- Nutrio offers a free tier and paid plans (Pro, Enterprise/Client Hub) billed through Stripe.
- AI features (photo analysis, meal plan generation) consume metered usage credits. Credits included with a plan reset or accrue as described at checkout; unused credits do not guarantee a cash refund.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, or upload content you don't have the right to share.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
- Misuse the Client Hub to access, contact, or store data about someone who hasn't agreed to be your client.
- Circumvent usage limits, credit metering, or subscription tiers.
6. Nutrition information is an estimate, not medical advice
Calories, macros, and meal recommendations produced by Nutrio — whether from a photo scan, a manual log, or an AI-generated plan — are estimates based on visual and self-reported input. They are provided for general informational purposes only and are not medical, dietary, or clinical advice. Nutrio is not a substitute for consulting a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or other healthcare provider, particularly if you have a medical condition (including conditions referenced in your stated goals, such as PCOS or prediabetes) or are pregnant, nursing, or under 18.
7. Client Hub relationships
If you join Nutrio as a client through a coach or organization's invite, that coach can see the meal logs, streaks, and progress data associated with your linked account, and can leave reactions or notes on your logged meals. You can see who your account is linked to from your dashboard. If you no longer want a coach to have this access, contact us or ask your coach to remove you from their roster.
8. Third-party services
Nutrio integrates with third-party services to operate — including Stripe for payments, email and notification providers, and grocery partners such as Instacart, Amazon Grocery, and Walmart for optional shopping-list checkout (which may involve referral or affiliate compensation to Nutrio). Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms, not ours.
9. Intellectual property
Nutrio and its logos, product names, and design are owned by us. You retain ownership of the photos and content you upload; by uploading, you grant Nutrio a license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, running AI analysis on a meal photo).
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Client Hub, or pose a risk to other users or the Service.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nutrio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on AI-estimated nutrition data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the Service or by email. Continuing to use Nutrio after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
